QUAKERTOWN, Pa. - A community project a decade in the making is taking a monumental step forward in upper Bucks County.A groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of the Quakertown Action Park Transformation Project took place on Main Street Saturday.The first phase will include the construction of a building to house Free Fall Action Sports, restrooms and a snack stand. That will be followed by the construction of a state-of-the-art outdoor concrete skate park.Organizers said the project is moving forward thanks to a grassroots effort involving local businesses, church partners and community members.
