Quakertown celebrates skate park groundbreaking

QUAKERTOWN, Pa. - A community project a decade in the making is taking a monumental step forward in upper Bucks County.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of the Quakertown Action Park Transformation Project took place on Main Street Saturday.

The first phase will include the construction of a building to house Free Fall Action Sports, restrooms and a snack stand. That will be followed by the construction of a state-of-the-art outdoor concrete skate park.
Organizers said the project is moving forward thanks to a grassroots effort involving local businesses, church partners and community members.
