Women's Ministry

Women ministering to women, to know and grow in Christ

All women are invited to become a part of the Women's Ministry at East Swamp as we fellowship and serve together in faith, love, and unity. Our mission is to be women who are committed to a deepening relationship with Christ through diligent prayer and the study of the Scriptures. As a result, we pray to be spiritually mature women, confident in our gifts and courageous in our words, so we can reach out in love to impact our church and community for Christ. There are numerous opportunities available to get involved. Through in-depth Bible studies, heartwarming fellowships, and special events offered throughout the year, you will have meaningful and fulfilling opportunities to enrich your heart, encourage your spirit, and expand your ministry.

Women's Bible Studies

The purpose of our weekly Bible Study groups is to encourage, support, and challenge each other as we walk together through God's word, deepening our relationship with Him and with each other. We offer two Bible Study groups, meeting on Thursday mornings or Thursday nights. Women of all ages are invited to join us; childcare is available for our Thursday morning group. Both groups are also available virtually, via Zoom.

This winter, we will be working through Beth Moore's The Quest. In this 6-session Bible study, delve into Scripture to explore how God created us to seek after Him—a God who desires to be found and known. In this lifelong quest of faith, learn to develop your intimacy with Him and embrace the adventure that comes with living a life for God.

This Bible study will run from the beginning of February to beginning-to-mid-March, depending on the weather. While we encourage you to begin with us from the start, you are welcome to join at any time. We hope to see you there!

Yearly Retreats

There is nothing quite so refreshing as getting away to hear a word from God, worship with your sisters, and eat food you didn't have to cook. However, we know that "getting away" is not always easy. That's why we host yearly retreats which alternate between a weekend spent away from home in a rural setting, with meals and lodging provided, and in-house retreats, in which you sleep at home and join us on Friday night and during the day on Saturday for sessions, meals, worship, and fun activities.
This year's retreat is taking place on April 12th - 14th, 2024, at Pinebrook Retreat Center in East Stroudsburg, PA. For more information and to register, click below. We hope you can join us!

Quilters & Knotters

Whether you are an experienced quilter, or you've never quilted a day in your life and would simply like to fill a few hours with some fun and fellowship, you are welcome to join us on Tuesdays from 9 am to 4 pm as we create quilts and blankets to be sold - all proceeds go to Christmas gifts for our missionaries. Pack your lunch and join the fun! Come when you can and leave when you must.

Manna Ministry

Sometimes, putting food on the table becomes a heavy burden - during times of illness, following a surgery, after welcoming a new baby, etc. This is when Manna Ministry steps in to help. We have the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus by taking meals to those within our church family who are walking through such a time. This simple act of giving can make a world of difference to those who receive!

If you would like to join us in any of these ministries but would like more information, please contact us! Also, be sure to check our Registrations page to sign up for things like Bible studies, retreats, and special events.

If you cannot find a registration for an event or you would like to register for an event whose registration has already closed, please contact us; we will happily do all we can to make sure you are able to join us!
