Worship services are Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Summer hours are 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Special holidays may have different times so be sure to check our web site or call.
The 8:30 a.m. is our traditional service with music consisting of hymns accompanied by piano and organ. The 11:00 a.m. service is the contemporary style of modern worship songs accompanied by vocalists and a praise band consisting of piano, guitar, drums, and various other instruments, and periodically drama/video to enhance the teaching times. All of our services from week to week are slightly different, but most components remain the same. We typically sing three to five worship songs, share some information or announcements, and listen to the message. Our services are usually about 70 minutes in length.
"Worship" involves communication with God from our hearts. We believe in a variety of different expressions in worshiping God. On the stage, you might see worship leaders clapping or raising their hands while they sing and the musicians playing various instruments. You are welcome to worship God in a way you feel expresses your heart toward Him. For some, that's quietly reflecting on the words and, for others, that's clapping and singing out.
We believe that expositional teaching of the Word of God is a vital component in our church, and to the believer. Listen to past sermons.
We are located at 2405 E. Swamp Road, Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Directions
Although some people may like their "Sunday best," others prefer casual. You’re welcome to dress however you like and mostly just come as you are.
Free safe and screened childcare is provided for infants through second grade during worship services.
We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life. We encourage you to bring your Bible when you attend, but if you have forgotten yours, or do not have one, there is one available in the pews.
We typically take part in communion once a quarter and again at some special occasions. We believe that communion is for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. You do not have to be a member of East Swamp Church to take part in communion, nor are you obligated in any way to take part.
East Swamp Church encourages biblical giving, however our guests are not expected to give anything.
