Recommended Books

Here we include links to books and and Bibles that are often refered to and used in our worship.  We include a link to Amazon, but they can they can also be purchased through a local Christian book store such as "The Friendly Bookstore" in Quakertown, "The Berean Christian Stores" in Souderton, or "Hackmans Bible Book Store" in Whitehall.  Additionally, books that are being used in our Sunday School Classes and Small Groups can often be purchased at the church office for your convenience.

Victory Over the Darkness is the book currently being studied in our Sunday school class lead by Doug Detweiler.  The author has revised and expanded Victory over the Darkness for a new generation of readers, outlining practical and more productive ways to Christian growth based on Christ's promise: "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." Victory Over the Darkness emphasizes the importance of believing and internalizing the cardinal truths of Scripture as a base from which to renew the mind and fend off Satan's relentless attempt to convince us that we are less than Christ empowers us to be.





Building Up One Another is the book being studied by our small groups.  The body of Christ can’t be all that it should be unless we mature in our interpersonal relationships as the Bible commands. Building Up One Another has been helping believers do just that since 1976, when Gene Getz first published what has since become a best-selling classic. This book, the cornerstone of the well-known “One Another Series,” has now been thoroughly updated and rewritten, drawing upon Dr. Getz’s church planting and “building up” experience. It also includes a personal and group study.

Bibles:
Here we list a few different bibles although there are countless versions of the bible.  2 versions often used today are the NIV and the NLT.  Both the NIV (New International Version) and the NLT (New Living Translation) use modern english with the NLT using slightly more modern verbiage.
